Kewpie Dolls
Before Sonny Angel, there was Kewpie. Long before today's blind box collectibles, Rose O'Neill's 1909 Kewpie set the template: round cheeks, wide eyes, a small cherubic body. Obitsu has kept that original character alive in Japan since 1966, dressing it in new costumes and collaborations while the design that started it all stays remarkably unchanged.
Obitsu has been making soft vinyl dolls and figures out of their own Tokyo workshop since 1966, and Kewpie has been part of their lineup from the start, made in 14 sizes ranging from 3.5cm all the way up to 64cm. This collection includes clear colorway keychains, winged Heart Angel Kewpies, and the Kaburimono series, which dresses the classic Kewpie figure in seasonal and iconic Japanese costumes.
Everything here is made in Japan.
