Style

Sekiguchi's Monchhichi has been charming Japan since 1974, when the thumb-sucking monkey doll with the human-like face first became a fixture of Japanese pop culture. This version turns the classic figure into a soft, zippered pouch you wear crossbody, with an adjustable strap that lets it swing at your hip or nestle close against you.

It's sized to carry a phone, lip balm, and a few small essentials, making it a natural sub-bag for errands or travel days, a standalone pouch for makeup and trinkets, or a gift for anyone who still can't resist a Monchhichi. The zipper opens smoothly across the top of the head and closes securely, so nothing slips out mid-outing.

Monchhichi-chan wears a pink bow between her ears; Monchhichi-kun goes without.
