Obitsu Kaburimono Kewpie Doll - Sakura Blossom
A classic Obitsu Kewpie figure nestled inside a pale pink sakura blossom, with the word for "pass" printed on two of its petals.
This is part of the same long running Kaburimono series from Obitsu Seisakusho, where the same beloved Kewpie head gets dressed up in a different costume each release, and the sakura version leans on a phrase familiar to nearly anyone who has gone through Japan's exam season. The blossom is printed with 合格, meaning "pass," a nod to サクラサク, an old expression for exam success that goes back to the days when results were sent home by telegram. It makes the figure a small, sweet good luck token as much as a collectible.
A nice pick for a student about to take an exam, a graduation gift, or just anyone partial to a Kewpie face peeking out of a flower.
