Miffy mugs, Japanese style.

Miffy was born in the Netherlands in 1955, but she's had a second home in Japan since 1964, when Fukuinkan Shoten published the first Japanese translation and gave her the name Usako-chan.

The books have sold more than 50 million copies in Japan, which explains how a Dutch rabbit ended up on these mugs made in Tajimi, deep in Mino ware country, a region that's been producing ceramics since the Nara period and now accounts for roughly half of Japan's everyday ceramics.

Five styles available: Animals, Boris the Pilot, My Favorite Outfit, Favorite Goods, and Dance with Miffy. Each comes in its own Dick Bruna branded box.
