Mt Fuji Chopsticks Ballpoint Pen by King Jim
A ballpoint pen disguised as a pair of disposable wari bashi chopsticks, wrapper and all.
King Jim is a long running Japanese stationery and office goods maker, and this comes from their new Japan Design Collection, a line built for visitors taking home a piece of Japan that's a little more clever than a magnet. The pen slides out of a paper wrapper that looks just like the kind you'd get at a soba shop, right down to the printed bands, and the resemblance is close enough that someone's bound to do a double take. Slide off the cap at the tip to write, and it switches to a smooth, oil based black ink.
The paper wrapper isn't just packaging either, fold it along the printed guide lines and it turns into a small piece of origami shaped like Mount Fuji, doubling as a little pen rest when you're done.
This design features Mount Fuji, with other versions in the same series featuring cranes and traditional Japanese patterns.
