Sakuma Drops have been a beloved part of Japanese confectionery culture since 1908, when Sojiro Sakuma first created these fruit hard candies during the Meiji era. Over a century later they remain one of Japan's most recognized and cherished sweets, as familiar to Japanese grandparents as they are to kids today.
